Assise dans le bus 93 pour rejoindre deux amis norvégiens aux Grands voisins pour le café il y a quelques semaines, un petit coin de rue fleuri a attiré mon attention. JUDY. 2 semaines plus tard, alors que nous avions en tête de déjeuner dans le nouveau restaurant NOGLU, nous avons dû faire face à une salle remplie et 1 heure d’attente avant le prochain créneau non réservé. Je connais peu le coin mais il me semble qu’il y a peu d’adresses sans gluten dans le 7ème. Un petit échec comme celui-là quand j’ai faim…. disons qu’il fallait vite trouver un plan B. :) C’est là que j’ai pensé au corner jaune.
La cantine est lumineuse et très cosy. Les nombreuses plantes disposées de part et d’autres participent à cette atmosphère car le reste de la décoration est plutôt minimaliste. A ma grande surprise, la carte est entièrement bio, biodynamique, locale au possible ainsi que sans gluten ! C’est donc l’occasion de goûter les avocado toasts, ou le club sandwich végétarien. Un petit bémol sur les prix affichés… 17€ l’avocado toast accompagné d’un oeuf poché et d’une salade verte, même s’il s’agit de pain sans gluten, n’est-ce pas un peu excessif ? En revanche, le service est très appréciable, on sent qu’on prend bien soin de nous :) Et le golden milk Judy au curcuma, lait d’amande, huile de coco et miel m’a bien réchauffé et m’a donné l’énergie nécessaire pour tenir toute la soirée d’anniversaire ;)
As I was riding on bus 93 to join two Norwegian friends for coffee at Les Grands voisins a few weeks ago, a sweet green and yellow corner caught my attention. JUDY. 2 weeks later, as we had planned to lunch at the new NOGLU venue for a quick birthday lunch, we were faced with a fully booked canteen and 1 hour of waiting time before the next not-booked slot. I am not a specialist of the area, but I believe there aren’t too many gluten free venues in the 7th. A little failing situation like this, when I am hungry… well let’s just say that we quickly needed to come up with a plan B. :) That’s when I thought of the yellow corner.
The canteen is quite bright and cosy. The numerous plants placed here and there participate in creating the nice atmosphere as the interior design is otherwise rather minimalist. To my great surprise, the menu is entirely organic, bio-dynamic, local as often as possible and gluten free! And they have avocado toasts!! The slight downside is the pricing… 17€ for the avocado toast with a poached egg and a green salad, even though it’s gluten free bread, isn’t that a bit excessive? On the other hand, the service is really appreciable, you feel that you are taken good care of :) and Judy’s golden milk with turmeric, almond milk, coconut oil and honey filled me with the much needed energy to last all night for the birthday party ;)
